Combined Defence Services

The Combined Defence Services Examination (abbreviated as CDS Exam) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. The Notification for the examination is usually released in the months of October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively. Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam. Examination is conducted twice a year. Successful candidates are admitted into the respective Academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).

A career in armed forces could be very exciting. Many of them join because they really want to serve their country and others join just for a job.Whatever the reason be fact is a lot of candidates apply for CDS each year. In 2016 around 3 million candidates across India are expected to appear for CDS written exam.If you are selected in one of the branches of armed forces then you are set for your rest of the life.Apart from getting pay, perks and pension you also get many benefits that are missing in a private job.Your job can be challenging depending upon which type of armed force you join.Your job can be very tough and disciplined so you have to prepare yourself for it.However if you are not ready for a challenging lifestyle then it is advised that you do not go for CDS.

Many MBBS students aspire to enter into clinical fields, and practice medicine or move further in areas as per their interest but the industry is already flooded with competition. This is why many students prefer to take NEET multiple times, to get the best scores and secure a seat in their designed colleges. After  NEET students can pursue MBBS degrees in fields of their interest, and work as doctors in both private and government hospitals.

Responsibilities of a Doctor:
